I hate when people ask if I can cook. It shouldn’t even be a question. The real question should be “can you follow instructions well enough to make something good?”.

The answer is YES! Yes, I can and here’s what I’ve learned about cooking, what most would find complicated, salmon.

Literally a few simple steps:

  1. Set over to 450
  2. Take filets and put them in foil like a they are in a shell or boat
  3. sprinkle with salt & pepper
  4. drench in lemon juice
  5. cook for 6 minutes for every inch the filet is thick
  6. Thank me later.

A few night ago I bought inexpensive and well cut filets from HEB and used 2 sides that I don’t normally mix: brown rice and corn and this was the finished product. My kid loved it and so did I.
